Works have successfully completed at Littlehampton Depot.
Spence have removed all of the existing roof covering bay by bay and replaced this with new corrugated roof sheets fixed over hand from the scissor lift to the platform. The new sheets were powder coated on both sides and fixed using a double washer. Works also included the wire brush and preparation of the existing purlins – treating the area of corrosion and priming and painting the existing steel purlins with marine grade paint.
Gregg Matthews, Area Infrastructure Manager for Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), said: ‘The project would not have achieved this result without the significant contribution of James Begley and his team, for their willingness to cooperate and communicate with depot personnel.’
