Challenges & Solutions
Delivering a standard of viaduct stonework that met heritage requirements was a key objective. Scaffold adaptations were designed to accommodate the evolving shape of the arch infills, and arch linings were fabricated to fit around existing apertures within the arches.
A significant challenge involved integrating bespoke louvres and windows to match the layouts of neighbouring arches while ensuring they fit within the individual existing infills of the arches being worked on.
