Since 2020, trains across the GWR network have carried wreaths from the communities we serve to Paddington Station for a touching Remembrance Service. This annual gathering is a moment for us all to pause and honour the sacrifices made in conflicts past and present. This year’s ceremony holds special significance as we remember the 80 years since the D-Day landings of June 1944. At Paddington, a powerful display of 22,442 poppies lined the statue to honour those lost in the Normandy campaign. We’re also honoured to recognise the RNLI on its 200th anniversary, celebrating their brave crews’ invaluable contributions during both world wars. Together, we remember.
