At Spence, we’re always looking for practical ways to enhance our pre-construction services and improve how we support our clients. One of the ways we’re doing this is through the introduction of interactive LiDAR surveying software that can easily capture the site environment during the initial walk-out and be a live record for the tendering process.

A key part of this rollout has been led by one of our Apprentices, Dylan Parish, who has taken ownership of integrating 3D special software into our tender process. Seeing our apprentices’ step forward, take initiative, and help drive improvements across the business is something we genuinely value. Investing in their development means we grow stronger as a company too.

By embracing innovative technology like this, we’re able to support our Pre-Construction team with clearer survey information, helping improve tender efficiency, site accuracy, and encourage collaboration with both clients and subcontractors. It’s another example of how we continue to evolve our upfront services while putting people and learning at the heart of what we do.
